Hawaiian Melt

Makes 1 melt

Ingredients
Choose wholegrain or wholemeal bread, English muffins, pita pockets or bagels.
1 teaspoon tomato paste, no added salt
1 slice (25g) lean ham
½ spring onion
¼ tomato
½ teaspoon dried mixed herbs 
20g reduced fat grated cheese

Method

  1. Preheat oven to 180°C.
  2. Finely chop the spring onion. Dice the tomato.
  3. Spread tomato paste over base. Add ham, spring onion, tomato and mixed herbs.
  4. Top with cheese and bake for 2 minutes or until the cheese is bubbling and lightly browned.
