Nutrition Support

The ACT Nutrition Support Service (ACTNSS) supports ACT Disability Support Services organisations to promote healthy eating environments to all individuals and families within their services.

ACTNSS provides a local one-stop-shop for free nutrition advice and support.

Disability organisations can access online and telephone expert nutrition advice provided by Accredited Practising Dietitians, and view a range of nutrition related resources such as healthy recipes, food and nutrition tips and ideas, and meal planning suggestions.

Disability organisations can also subscribe to a weekly News Bites e-newsletter containing useful, practical, and accurate nutrition information to help promote a healthy eating environment and encourage all clients in their services  to make healthy food choices.

Disability organisations can also opt to receive a seasonal Better Bites e-newsletter containing nutrition information specific to the disabililty support services environment.

Disability organisation staff are also eligible to attend free nutrition education seminars on a range of topics relating to healthy eating and nutrition in the disability support services community.
