This Food&ME™ Nutrition Education (Kindergarten to Year 6) workshop is accredited with the Teacher Quality Institute and is available on Thursday 24 August 2017.
The workshop will be delivered by Nutrition Australia ACT. The workshop aims to empower teachers with accurate, evidence based nutrition knowledge, enabling them to teach nutrition to students with confidence. All participants will receive an electronic copy of the complete Food&ME™ Nutrition Education Teaching Resources.

What is Food&ME™?
- A series of evidence-based nutrition education units linked to The Australian Curriculum: Health and Physical Education and aligns with the Australian Dietary Guidelines (2013)
- Assists with teaching students about nutrition for good health. The units have been developed by Accredited Practising Dietitians from Nutrition Australia ACT in consultation with teachers from ACT schools and ACT Health.
- Supports the ACT Government’s Towards Zero Growth: Healthy Weight Action Plan which acknowledges the vital role of schools in promoting good nutrition and young people.
- Resources support schools to deliver the “classroom learning” action area of the Fresh Tastes Program. The Fresh Tastes Program is working with ACT primary schools to promote a culture of healthy food and drinks.
